Affection for
grandparents
Grandpa's laugh
- I woke up at night mom, listening to grandpa's laugh,
and I felt his strong embrace. He was very happy and
smiling.
Can anyone already disembodied visit us?
- While we sleep, the spirit can go out and meet spirits
incarnate or disembodied son. So your meeting may have
happened.
- It was all so real. He even squeezed my fingers, one
by one, as he always did, and he said: Kill lice, stick
cake, everyone's father, your neighbor, little finger...
I miss grandpa so much mom! Why did he leave us so
early?
- Son, every one of us has a time to stay on Earth, and
only God knows the time we have to leave. But the bonds
of affection don’t end with desincarnation. We can find
who we love during sleep, and lessen our homesickness!
- I could have enjoyed more his company, but sometimes
I'd rather stay on my cell phone. What a pity! - Thought
the boy.
- Son, gramma Carmen is alone now and needs company! You
also have grandpa Carlos and gramma Marta. They like you
and have a lot to teach you.
- Mom, none of them have the fun laugh of grandpa
Geraldo.
There was a small silence, and the boy continued:
- But you're right, I'll keep together to my
grandparents. Can I borrow the cell phone, Mom?
- Hi Grandma! All right? - you hear next.
- Hi, my grandson! – Grandpa Carlos responds in
surprise.
- I'm just calling to say good night. Send a kiss to
gramma. Love you. I'll be there tomorrow. Big kiss.
Lucas turned and saw that his mother was looking at him
with approval. Then he ran toward her saying,
- I love you too, mom!
- I love you too, son!
The coexistence between grandchildren and grandparents
brings great benefits to all. Children learn to respect
their elders and understand their limitations. With more
experience, grandparents have much to teach. And they
remain more active and happy with the presence of the
grandchildren.
