New year: hope for a new time
Another year begins by
bringing us hope that this
time with the blessings of
God things in our world will
be different and far better
than those we experienced in
2018.
Respect for others, less
inequalities and prejudices,
reduction of crime and
poverty, economic and social
progress, more opportunities
for study and employment,
stagnant corruption, health
for all and above all peace.
Peace in the streets, in
homes, in relations among
the people and nations.
If it is not to ask too much
these are our votes for 2019
in which we expect to have
the attention and support of
our collaborators and in
particular of our readers.
One of the highlights of
this issue is the interview
given to us by the spirit
scholar Ana Maria de Nigris,
from São Paulo based in
Volta Redonda (RJ).
Biologist specializing in
Parasitary Biology, dentist
and plastic artist working
in the city where she lives,
our interviewee is part of
the direction of the Spirit
Group Luzeiros do Mestre.
Deeply acquainted with the
work of Leon Denis, in the
interview she tells us about
the content and importance
of the books that were
bequeathed to us by the
well-known writer.
"Typographic analysis of the
first seven editions of The
Genesis of Allan Kardec"
is the title of the Special
Edition. The article
analyses the issues
surrounding the publication
of the fifth edition of
Allan Kardec's The
Genesis, which occurred
in December 1872, more than
three years after the
disincarnation of the
Encoder of Spiritism.
differences in content
compared to previous
editions which were
published with Kardec still
reincarnated.
It was founded on January 1,
1934, the Spirit Centre Our
Home, in Londrina, which is
celebrating 85 years of
existence, as shown by a
special article signed by
our collaborator Paola
Asturiano Martins which is
also one of the highlights
of this week.
