Joana de Ângelis’ many incarnations
Joana Angélica de Jesus died
in February 1822 at the age
of 60. The nun was born in
Salvador (BA) on December
12, 1761. Religious of the
Order of the Immaculate
Conception of Mary, Joana
died defending the Convent
of Lapa in Salvador against
Portuguese soldiers who were
fighting against the
independence of Brazil.
According to different
sources, she was in the past
Joana de Cusa, one of the
women who follow Jesus at
the crucifixion but in
spirit midst she is known by
the name Joana de Ângelis,
spiritual mentor of Divaldo
Franco. Her many
incarnations in our world is
the theme of the especial
report written by Ana Teresa
Moraes, from Rio de Janeiro
(RJ).

Socorro but she lives in
Aracaju. Both cities in

One of the most interesting
figures of primitive
Christianity, Maria de
Magdala is the Especial
theme which illustrates the
current edition authored by
our collaborator Temi Mary
Faccio Simionato. She is
also known as Maria
Madalena, she is described
in the New Testament as one
of the most dedicated
disciples of Jesus and an
example of overcoming for
having been able to purify
herself from all her
mistakes, which were not
few.
