Neither
Heaven nor Hell: The Laws of
the Soul according to
Spiritism
This is the title of a work
recently published by FEAL,
written by Lucas Sampaio and
Paulo Henrique de Figueiredo,
which is the subject of an
interview that one of the
authors - Lucas Sampaio -
granted to our collaborator
Wellington Balbo. In it, our
interviewee tells us, among
other subjects, about the
research he carried out in
relation to the book “Heaven
and Hell”, by Allan Kardec,
which resulted in the work
“Neither Heaven nor Hell:
The Laws of the Soul
according to Spiritism”. The
interview is one of the
highlights of this issue.
"Does our
salvation depend on faith,
love or deeds?" This
question is the title of the
Special that we publish in
this edition, authored by
our collaborator Hugo
Alvarenga Novaes, author of
the e-books “The idea of
reincarnation is in the
Gospel” and “Biblical and
doctrinal reflections”,
published by EVOC – Virtual
Publisher of The Comforter.
In the final part of the
article, the writer observes
with complete reason: “It is
absurd to think that faith
is more important than
works”. “Those who think
like that are based on
where? It's not in the
Bible!”
Spiritists from around the
world celebrate this month
another birth anniversary -
number 175 - of Léon Denis,
considered the philosopher
of Spiritism and author of
important spiritist works
after those written by Allan
Kardec. Denis was born on
January 1, 1846 in a village
called Foug, located on the
outskirts of Tours, in
France, as Thiago Bernardes
reminds us in a special
article, which is also one
of the highlights of this
edition.

After the short break at the
end of the year, we returned
to our weekly editions,
counting as always with the
support of our readers and
collaborators, without whom
this magazine would
certainly not exist. To all,
our greeting and wishes for
a happy and prosperous New
Year.
