Some time ago, it was reported by the national press that two children were generated through artificial insemination carried out in the USA and gestated in two surrogates. It became known in San Diego, California, where the process is allowed and was requested by a couple of male homosexuals of Brazilian nationality, who each made their own sperm donation, allowing each baby to have its own different biological father. Mothers were not identified, both those who donated the eggs and those who gave birth.

A total of ten embryos were fertilized, half of them by the sperm of each man. Donor mothers donated ten eggs.

The two surrogate mothers were assigned an embryo for each. Therefore, first, in vitro fertilization was performed, which consists of the fertilization of the egg by sperm in a controlled environment, outside the woman's body. Then the embryo is introduced into the uterus so that the pregnancy can run its full course.

In relation to the Spiritist Doctrine, how can we explain what happened? We are faced with ten frozen embryos, and we must stress that nothing is governed by chance. Life reflects, in its complexity and beauty, the presence of a “Superior Intelligence”. In no way, existence can be attributed to nothingness, created physical life, without prior intention, just as Christ affirmed: “A sparrow does not fall to the ground, without the Father's consent” and “even the hairs of your head are all counted”. Therefore, there is a guiding field for the entire exuberant process, exactly the spiritual agent, responsible for the live birth of a baby, majestic human architecture consisting of more than one hundred trillion cells, resulting from just one cell, called an egg or zygote, and forming apparatuses and organs.

So, it is imperative, before any deeper doctrinal analysis, that it is very clear that "in vitro" fertilization and the development of the being, in the maternal crucible, have a causal connotation, not casual, which further clarifies the explanation of Spiritism.

The Codification, carried out by the magnanimous Kardec, teaches that, in diving into the physical arena, there are three processes aimed at the spiritual growth of the being: the trial, the atonement and the mission. The first action reveals a very intense challenge, corresponding to tests, opportunities to acquire experiences, learning, an activity that allows the individual's potential to emerge, as well as prove, in the flesh dimension, that he has already acquired some spiritual benefit.

Atonement, on the other hand, is related to infractions, mistakes or mistakes made in the past, in different lives, both experienced in the current existence, as in the vast majority in previous incarnations. Any bad attitude, infringing the sovereign laws of God that are inserted in the conscience itself, generates imbalance, demanding repair of the past, riddled with mistakes and mismatches, in a next incarnation experience. Then, being victorious over the atonement, the Spirit returns to the true homeland, in the vehicle of immortality, no longer as a tormentor but as a victim, no longer being besieged and ensnared by the earlier remorse that seemed to have no end.

The mission corresponds to love in action, a situation of extreme support in favor of an individual or a certain group linked to the reincarnated person who assumed the responsibility of carrying out a certain task or promoting its realization.

Therefore, in the present case, we observe many individuals involved, from beings who return to the physical places, such as those covered in paternal cloaks, as well as the women who donated their eggs and those who, from in vitro fertilization, enabled development of people, in the blessed uterine setting, from the embryonic organization to the birth stage.

Therefore, respecting the free will of all involved, as well as the law of cause and effect, aiming at the spiritual balance that certainly results from these experiments in the physical arena, we can dazzle the possibility of probation, atonement and mission being able to be present, counting on the collaboration provided by the spiritual builders.

In the scientific literature, for example, there is a report of an embryo that was frozen for 27 years and developed without problems, giving birth to a girl named Molly, in October 2020. It holds the record, surpassing a cooled embryo for 24 years, which resulted in the appearance of another girl, named Emma. Many institutions store frozen embryos that IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) patients have chosen not to use and have chosen to donate.

As for the formed embryos, a question arises: Is there the presence of Spirits linked to the initial physical structure? It is important to analyze the subject, seeking to instruct in the valuable information offered by the Spiritist Doctrine. In "The Book of Spirits", there is the communication that "the union begins at conception, but is only complete at birth", since the Spirit is linked, from the moment of conception by a fluidic bond that gets tighter and tighter, until the moment the baby is born (Q. 344).

The Kardecian Codification clarifies that, at conception, the Spirit is not yet incarnated, but only linked by still fragile ties. Therefore, in the frozen embryo, with the presence of the extraphysical being united to it, "its state is almost identical to that of an incarnated Spirit during sleep", which can greatly facilitate a long time of waiting to receive the kind uterine welcome (Q. 351). The creature, at that moment, can be raised, with the partial freedom provided by the projection of the conscience or spiritual unfolding. Therefore, during the interval between conception and birth, the Spirit is not unconscious or inert. It can move away from the frozen embryo, just as the incarnate one does during sleep.

As the frozen embryonic stage is closer to the moment of conception than to birth, the disturbance tends to be less, and the Spirit can enjoy more freedom in the use of its faculties.

Why does the extraphysical being need this experience, even waiting tens of years, for it to be taken to the maternal crucible? Certainly, the divine laws, being fair and wise, allow the Spirit to receive the due opportunity of spiritual discharge, with a lot of possibility, through an atonement, although it cannot also disregard the occurrence of the trial or mission, helping their disabled loved ones of natural insemination.

Exemplifying the atonement, unhappy executioners, intensely compromised, going through terrible experiences, in the dense spiritual dimension, welcomed by the "Samaritans from beyond", may be given the opportunity to retreat to a safe haven, linked to the initial somatic mass, exactly in the embryonic stage, in the middle of the freezing process. Likewise, health professionals, craftsmen, in these horrifying abortions, who have already undergone expiatory reincarnation, ask for the grace of reparation, contributing to science, then using volunteers in favor of life, brotherhood in the embryonic organization, waiting for the opportunity of its implantation and development in the uterine cradle. Certainly they were beings who, in several incarnations, used their experiences against life and, now, are sacrificing for its benefit.

Many frozen embryos do not survive, others are eliminated in miscarriages. Most Brazilian clinics specializing in In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) work with failure rates that vary between 45 and 60% per attempt. We know from the doctrinal study that there may be the possibility of not having a spiritual presence in them, as the Kardecian Codification assures: “There are, in fact, whose bodies no Spirit was ever destined. Nothing had to be done for them” (Q. 136 a for “OLE - The Book of Spirits”). They develop without guidance, like a building made without a comstruction plan and come to light dead and disfigured They are stillborn. In fact, there is no perispiritual connection.

The spiritual entity Andre Luiz, physician in his last incarnation, in the work “Evolution in two worlds”, brings us valuable support in the sense of understanding the theme, answering the following question: “How to understand cases of frustrated pregnancy when there is no Spirit reincarnating to design the shapes of the fetus? ”

The answer, important for the spiritual understanding of the subject: “In all cases where there is fetal formation, without the presence of a reincarnating entity, the phenomenon follows the maternal mental mold. Among the occurrences of this species, there are, for example, those in which the woman, in an ordeal of readjustment of the genesis center, habitually nourishes the keen desire to be a mother, impregnating the reproductive cells with a high percentage of magnetic attraction”.

However, in relation to frozen embryos, there is certainly an opportunity to ask the following question: - What about beings constituted in a laboratory, without the initial presence of their mothers? The answer, ready and categorical, comes as follows: - Scientists, involved with dedication in research, are certainly vibranting fruitfully and can contribute to the initial embryonic modulatory formation. At the same time, the egg and sperm act equally, as we believe to be the gametes endowed with energy.

Another question arises: In order to be produced a human being, is there need for the presence of the Spirit? We respond with a denial. However, for someone to be born alive, the extraphysical being must be present, because an organism without a soul will not have conditions to survive, having only a physical framework, without the possibility of living and, on top of that, revealing serious and fatal malformations (" simple mass of flesh without intelligence, all you want except a man") (Q. 136b of "OLE" - The Book of Spirits).

Therefore, the Spiritist Doctrine reports that a newborn body, without a soul, does not survive (stillborn). This has already provided us with the preparation of some theses, presented at some Spiritist Congresses, in Brazil and Portugal, and published in our books and in some Brazilian and foreign periodicals, including the "Spirit Magazine", in France (" Revue Spirit”, no. 36, 3rd quarter of 1998), created by Allan Kardec and relaunched by the International Spiritist Council (CEI).

In addition to the vibratory field provided by those who support it in the uterine crucible, how can one explain the complete embryonic-fetal development without the presence of the spiritual shaping field? The somatic structuring takes place through the metabolism induced by the ion exchange called “sodium-potassium pump”, developing a difference in electrical potential, contributing to the functioning of the cell and, therefore, of the body as a whole. This generated energy is in agreement with the thesis of the vital principle, brilliantly described by Kardec, in the 19th century, in “The Genesis”, chap. X, no. 19, saying that this principle would be a particular kind of animal electricity, totally in accordance with current scientific thinking.

How important is the Spiritist teaching in line with science. The blessed reincarnation, in any circumstance, is the vehicle for the purge of affliction and suffering, bringing about the victory of the being over itself.

We have no doubt that "God is love" (1-John 4:8).
