With the doctrine of
reincarnation, it is easy to
understand the adversities
of life
“Reincarnation versus
dogmatism” is the title of
the Special that illustrates
this issue. In it, the
physician Americo Domingos
Nunes Filho, from the
Spiritist Medical
Association of Rio de
Janeiro, makes timely
observations on the doctrine
of reincarnation and
examines the arguments –
some quite childish – of the
dogmatic religious who
reject it. At the end of the
article, he shows us that
the doctrine of
reincarnation sensibly and
logically explains the
adversities and blows of
fate, something that it is
difficult to understand if
we reject the plurality of
existences. The Special is
one of the highlights of
this edition.
Another highlight is the
interview that Márcia Ferraz
de Carvalho Caravieri, from
Angra dos Reis (RJ), gave to
Orson Peter Carrara. She is
graduated in Law, now
retired as a public service
lawyer, she participates in
the activities of the Meimei
Spiritist Group, in her
city, in which she is a
member of the Collegiate
Board of Directors and
director of the Doctrinal
Department. In the
interview, among other
things, she tells us about
her work in spiritist work
and the benefits she has
gained from spiritist
knowledge.
This week, the calendar
shows us the date on which
Auta de Souza disincarnated,
at the age of 24, on
February 7, 1901 in Natal
(RN). The great poet, born
in Macaíba on September 12,
1876, left us a single book
published – Horto –, which
was enough to be considered
by Luís da Câmara Cascudo
"the greatest mystical poet
in Brazil". And, for the joy
of all of us, on the
spiritual plane her work in
the field of poetry
continued, as evidenced by
the beautiful sonnets she
offered us through the
mediumship of Chico Xavier.
