How to
overcome the challenges
brought by the pandemic
As it is well known, the
suspension of face-to-face
activities carried out by
the spiritist centers
constituted a huge challenge
that the spiritists had to
face and overcome. We have
already mentioned many
examples of similar
overcoming in our magazine
and today we present another
one, described in the
interview that our
collaborator Marcus Braga
did with our colleagues in
spiritist work Aline Braga
and Grazielle Muzitano, from
the Spiritist House Amazonas
Hércules, in Rio de Janeiro
(RJ). The interview is one
of the highlights of this
edition.
Another highlight is the
Special “The Good Samaritan
and the Good Baiano: a
sociopsychological
analysis”, authored by
Professor Almir Del Prette,
from the Federal University
of São Carlos (SP). In the
article he says that there
are many passages from the
gospels that pose challenges
to the different
contemporary scientific
disciplines. One of them is
the narrative contained in
the well-known parable of
the Good Samaritan, analyzed
by him along with an event
that took place in Feira de
Santana (BA), in which the
central character acted just
like the good Samaritan.
On Wednesday, May 25th, EVOC
– Virtual Publisher The
comforter published the
e-book "Sick Personalities -
A spiritist model of mental
disorders", authored by
Chrystian Barroso Chaves,
Ely Edison da Silva Matos
and Ricardo Baesso de
Oliveira, all linked to the
spiritist movement of Juiz
de Fora (MG). The book, as
with all EVOC publications,
can be read or downloaded
for free.
