Are the
stories told to us about
haunted places true?
The subject above is
examined in detail by our
collaborator Rogério Miguez,
who reminds us, in an
article published in this
issue, that the
manifestations of Spirits
are natural events,
therefore contemplated in
the order of things, and
have no relation with the
marvelous and the so-called
supernatural. In fact, it
was thanks to manifestations
of this nature that the
risen movement to the advent
of the Spiritist Doctrine
started years later.
“If the example is the best
publicity, we are in very
bad shape” – this phrase
summarizes the thought of
our editorial colleague
Paulo da Silva Neto
Sobrinho, expressed in the
interview that we publish
this Sunday. A member of the
spiritist movement since
1987, he is one of the most
active promoters of
Spiritism in our country,
especially through articles
and books. The interview is
one of the highlights of
this issue.
It was founded on March 22,
1923 in the city of Mineiros
do Tietê by Marcelino
Martinez, whose story
deserves a specific
approach, both personal and
family, the Spiritist Center
Francisco Xavier dos Santos
is celebrating its first
centenary this week, as
shown in a special article,
our editorial colleague
Orson Peter Carrara, who
took his first steps there,
as a child, in spiritist
endeavors.
