Congress held
in Lisbon celebrates 165
years of Revue
Spirite
In celebration of the 165th
anniversary of Revue
Spirite, a periodical
founded by Allan Kardec on
January 1, 1858, the
Portuguese Spiritist
Federation held an important
event on the 18th and 19th
of this month that brought
together speakers and
scholars from several
countries. With the theme
“Spiritism and social
renewal” and reflections
based on the honored work,
the Congress featured
lectures, cultural moment
and debate tables, as shown
in a special article signed
by José Lucas.
In times of fake news,
being careful with what we
post or broadcast on the
internet is of great
importance. This warning is
part of the interview given
to us by Marco Antonio
Mazzeu, from Sociedade
Espírita Kardecista O
Consolador, from Araraquara
(SP), in which he
participates as a
collaborator in the
activities carried out
there. The interview is one
of the highlights of this
issue.
Another highlight is the
Special “The Proof of
Wealth”, by Juan Carlos
Orozco, from Brasília (DF),
who reminds us, in his
article, that poverty and
wealth are neither
punishment nor reward, but
only evidence that the
Spirits, in their
evolutionary process, they
must face in their passage
through reincarnation on
planet Earth, which
Spiritism classifies as a
world of trials and
atonement.
