We can't just
sit around and watch life go
by through the window
The phrase above is from our
interviewee, the young
Débora Priscila Rabelo, from
Rio Grande do Sul from Novo
Hamburgo (RS), founder of
the Online Spiritist Study
Group Our Home Friends,
created last year. She is
graduated in Journalism, she
has been carrying out,
independently, extensive
spiritualist dissemination
work through the channel Our
Home Friends (Amigos de
Nosso Lar), which she tells
us about it in an interview
she kindly gave us.
“The great educator” and
miseducated educators is
the title of this week's
Special, in which Vladimir
Alexei makes considerations
about education and its
importance in human
progress. But, although he
recognizes that developing
intelligence is important
for the progress of the
spirit, he reminds us that
this development is not, in
itself, a guarantee of
ethical-moral development.
In 2004, historian and
writer Eduardo Carvalho
Monteiro participated in the
World Spiritist Congress in
Paris when the 200th
anniversary of the birth of
Allan Kardec was celebrated.
At the congress, he gave a
lecture and also made an
exhibition of rare spiritist
periodicals, illustrating
the history of Spiritism and
its exponents, as shown by
Izabel Vitusso in a special
article, one of the
highlights of this issue.

From this edition onwards,
our fellow spiritist Solange
Grande, who lives in San
Antonio, Texas (United
States), where she
participates in the San
Antonio Kardec Spiritist
Center, begins to
collaborate with our
magazine, as translator of
the Specials into the
English language. The new
member of our team replaces
our partner Eleni Frangatos,
who had to take time off
work for health treatment.
To Solange, our greetings
and best wishes, and to
Eleni, our best wishes for
her recovery and all our
gratitude for the
collaboration she has given
us with great dedication
since the first years of our
magazine's existence.
