The family
and marriage in the light of
spiritist teachings
“As time passes, the
advancement of the
Codifier's thinking in
relation to his
contemporaries becomes more
evident, as marriage has
lost, over the years, the
character of a social,
religious act, becoming
conceptualized and respected
as a personal, intimate act.”
These words written by José
Passini is part of the
Special The
Family,
in which he affirms that the
legitimacy of marriage is
given by the degree of
responsibility and love that
presided over the formation
of the couple who want to
form a family. The article
is one of the highlights of
this issue.
Another highlight is the
interview given to us by
Jocélia Chavier Borges, born
in Jequié (BA). She has
settled in Angra dos Reis
(RJ), she is part of the
team of workers at Love and
Charity Spiritist Group, in
the city, in which she works
in mediumistic activities
and studies and also as an
active collaborator in the
events, being also
responsible for the kitchen
of the institution, in which
she works hard to provide
meals for those assisted and
participants.
On February 16th, Francisco
Galves disincarnated in the
capital of São Paulo, at the
age of 96, who together with
his wife, Encarnação
Blasques, better known as
Nena Galves, deprived for a
long time of the friendship
of Francisco Cândido Xavier,
since when the couple met
him in 1959, where he and
Nena Galves became
protagonists and privileged
observers of important
moments in the Brazilian
spiritist movement, as it is
shown by Antonio Cesar Perri
de Carvalho in an article
that is also one of the
highlights of this issue.
