Spiritism is,
in Kardec's words, the most
powerful auxiliary of
religion
The idea inherent to the
sentence above is the
subject of the Special
“Religions need Spiritism”,
by Cláudio Bueno da Silva,
from Osasco (SP). In it, the
columnist writes about the
purpose of religions, which
is, according to Herculano
Pires, “to tear man from
animality and lead him to
morality”, an objective to
which Spiritism contributes
decisively by providing us
with proof of the survival
of soul and show us,
clearly, what are the true
objectives of our sojourn in
the world. The article is
one of the highlights of
this issue.
Another highlight is the
interview given to us by
Adauto Quirino Silva, a
lawyer based in the city of
Birigui (SP), where he
participates in the
activities of the Love and
Charity Spiritist Center. A
born Spiritist, he tells us
in the interview, among
other subjects, about the
history and performance,
since the foundation, of the
aforementioned Spiritist
Center, which completed 82
years of existence on
January 28th.
It was founded on June 21,
1951, the Walking to Jesus
Spiritist Center, in Recife
(PE), celebrated 71 years of
existence this week, as
shown by our collaborator
Luiz Guimarães in a special
text entitled “Paths of
Light”. The article is one
of the highlights of this
edition.
