One of the
highlights of
this issue is
the interview
that the young
confrere
Leonardo Machado
Tavares, from
Recife (PE),
gave to the
journalist
Fernanda Borges.
Born and raised
in the
pernambucana
capital,
Leonardo
Machado, who is
about to
graduate from
the Medical
school at
Universidade de
Pernambuco,
started off
really early in
the Spiritist
Doctrine.
Working at
Núcleo Espírita
Investigadores
da Luz (NEIL)
and a classical
music composer,
Leonardo has
already released
four albums with
some of his
compositions. In
the Spiritist
movement,
besides
lectures, he
takes part in a
mediumistic
group in his
hometown and
contributes with
articles in
various journals
from wide range,
such as this
very magazine,
which he has
been an
invaluable
asset.
In this issue is
being published
the first part
of a good study
by the confrere
and Spiritist
doctor Alírio de
Cerqueira Filho,
from Cuiabá
(MT), who
examines three
books by the
medium Wanderley
Soares de
Oliveira.
The analyzed
works are:
Seara Bendita
Reforma
Íntima sem
Martírio and
Lírios de
Esperança.
The study, which
is going to take
places in three
parts, from this
date to
25-5-2008. Its
objective,
according to the
author’s words,
is to work on
behalf of the
Spiritist
movement about
one of the most
discussed topics
"with the
objective to
harm the
Spiritist
doctrine”.
The reader will
also see, in
this issue how
was the State
Meeting of
Preachers from
Rio Grande do
Sul that was
held in the city
of Santo Ângelo
(RS) and will be
able to read the
first part of
the study,
starting today,
of the Revue
Spirite of
1860.
