It’s been twenty years since

the Spiritist movement

started in Austria

The main highlight of this issue is the interview of our Gaucho confrere Teltz Cardoso Farias, from Santa Maria (RS), conducted by our collaborator Antonio Augusto Nascimento.

Representative in his state for the Crusade of Spiritist Military, Teltz talks on the interview about the Spiritist movement in his city and the state of Rio Grande do Sul, which he considers, and we consider too, one of the best in our country. The interview is the debut of Antonio Augusto Nascimento as one of the interviewers of the writing staff in this magazine.

Another highlight of this issue is the detailed study by Jáder Sampaio, from Belo Horizonte (MG), in which the confrere writes about the life and works of Gabriel Delanne, the extraordinary French writer who, along with Allan Kardec e Léon Denis, is one of the most important Spiritist writers in the history of Spiritism.

It was in 1988 – twenty years ago – that Josef Jackulak started the activities of a group of friends that later founded the oldest Spiritist centre in Austria, the Society of Spiritist Studies Allan Kardec – VAK, located in Wien, our special story in which Claudia Werdine and Katia Fabiana Fernandes begin a set of stories about the Spiritist movement in Europe.

As the number of visits to our site O Consolador increases every month – from December 2007 to May 2008 the number of access increased 3 times more – it is natural that new readers ask questions that others had already made, which lead us to repeat here some information we deem as necessary:

  • This magazine is online and we do not require, for it to be read, any sort of payment. We don’t work with subscriptions. To read O Consolador, log on to www.oconsolador.com, for that you don’t need to pay nor do you need a password.
  • The magazine O Consolador has no connection with bookstores, publishers or distributers. In face of this, we don’t sell CDs or books, subject in which the reader needs to talk directly to the proper institutions.
  • On this site http://www.enderecocasaespirita.org.br is possible to find the addresses of Spiritist Centres located in Brazil and some other countries abroad. Having this search as a basis, the reader will be able, then, to know whether there is a Spiritist Centre near his home.
