As we
know, in the last few years
we have seen several
Spiritist plays to be
launched in theatres, which
will for sure continue along
this year. But in future,
the year of 2010 will be
remembered as the year when
the cinema actually opened
its doors to the Spiritism.
This is the highlight of
this week’s editorial
entitled 2010: A Year to
Remember.
One of the highlights of the
week is the interview
conceded by our confrere
Rogério Coelho, from Muriaé
(MG), to our editor Orson
Peter Carrara. During the
interview Rogério talks
about the fear and pain of
separation caused by death.
He says it is possible to
overcome the fear of death
and lost of a dear relative.
He recently launched the
book E depois da morte o que
acontece? (Translated: What
happens after death?), where
he analyses this subject.
Another highlight of this
edition is the special from
Marcelo Borela de Oliveira
about Chico Xavier’s
centenary. The article,
further than bringing facts
about the life and work of
the dear medium, also
presents two parts of utmost
importance for the thought
and achievements of Chico
Xavier. The first contains
statements and answers that
Chico Xavier gave to many
issues; the second presents
a range of information about
the life and work of the
medium, including the list
of 409 books psychographic
by him.
The Spiritist Union of
Lisbon, celebrating the
centenary of the birth of
the medium Francisco Cândido
Xavier, has promoted the
seminar: Chico Xavier – the
Man and Medium, as shown in
the article by Nuno Emanuel, our magazine correspondent
in Lisbon, which is also one
of the highlights of this
edition.

On the
04th April of 1932, it was
published, in Rio de Janeiro
(RJ), first release of the
“Spiritist World” newspaper,
under the direction of
Henrique Andrade. The
newspaper was then
transferred to the Spiritist
Federation of Paraná, which
publishes it on monthly
basis.
