In Brazil, for a while there
has been a very strong
political movement fighting
for the liberalization of
the practice of abortion, a
topic that was not properly
discussed in the latest
election campaign, what
makes it a subject that
remains as a worrying issue,
as it is revealed in this
week’s Foreword, entitled
The question of abortion in
Brazil.
One of the highlights of
this current edition is the
interview that fellow
colleague Jason de Camargo,
from Porto Alegre (RS), gave
to our collaborator Antonio
Augusto Nascimento. An
experienced spiritist leader
and FERGS (Spiritists
Federation of Rio Grande do
Sul) ex-president, the
colleague is the author of
the book Education of
Feelings, which
constitutes the main topic
of the interview.
Another highlight of this
edition is the Special from
Américo Domingos Nunes Filho,
from Rio de Janeiro (RJ),
about the Comforter promised
by Jesus, constant narrative
of John’s
Evangelion.
In his article, Américo also
proposes considerations
about the expression “Holy
Spirit”, which appears
within some biblical
passages.
The well-known writer and
public speaker Suely Caldas
Schubert has completed
extensive doctrinal
programme in cities in the
southern part of Brazil,
between the 7th and 14th
of October, as it is
revealed in Paulo Salerno’s
report, which is equally one
of the highlights of this
edition.

engineer, spiritual medium
and the first president of
the Brazilian Spiritist
Federation, which he ruled
from 1884 to 1888, until
when he was substituted by
Dr. Adolfo Bezerra de
Menezes.
