Spiritist Week in Londrina
reaches at its twentieth
edition
This
week’s editorial, The role
of books in promoting
Spiritism, highlights the
role of the International
Spiritist Council in the
publication of a large
number of books translated
into several foreign
languages.
Marlene Bertoldo da Silva,
born into a spiritist home
and current director of the
Department of Spiritist
Social Assistance and
Promotion at the Spiritist
Federation of Rio Grande do
Sul, talks, among other
things, about the disease
that she recently faced with
courage and optimism and
also about the challenges
and opportunities facing us
in the spiritist social
assistance. The interview
granted to our collaborator
Antonio Augusto Chaves do
Nascimento is one of the
highlights of this edition.
Another highlight of this
edition is the special
article "Social assistance
in light of the spiritist
teachings" in which the
author points out that the
goal of spiritist social
assistance is not, as many
think, merely to satisfy
perishable bodies, but to
enlighten and form
individuals with healthy
consciences from the
physical, psychological and
spiritual points of view.
The 20th Spiritist Week in
Londrina, launched yesterday
and promoted for the first
time by the Londrina
Metropolitan URE, brings to
that city speakers who never
attended the event in
previous editions, like the
colleagues Jamiro Santos and
Adeilson Salles, as shown in
a special report which is
also one of the features of
this edition.
