Rubens de Castro speaks
about the Fraternity
Radio
This week’s editorial,
You have to explain to
people what is brain death,
examines the difficulties
that have existed in
obtaining organs for
transplants in cases where
brain death was determined,
a phenomenon that many
people in this country have
yet to understand.
Rubens de Castro Silva, a
journalist and press
secretary who lives in the
mining town of Uberlândia
talks about the Fraternity
Web Radio that, making use
of the Internet 24 hours a
day, is dedicated to the
systematic dissemination of
the Spiritist Doctrine. The
interview, which is one of
the features of this
edition, was given to our
collaborator Orson Peter
Carrara.
Another feature of this
edition is the article by
our colleague Vinícius
Lousada, from Passo Fundo-RS,
which focuses on the work of
Emmanuel and his
contribution to the study
and understanding of the
Spiritist Doctrine.
The 60th
Spiritist Week of Astolfo
Dutra-MG was held from July
9th to the 16th,
jointly sponsored by the
Spiritist Foundation Abel
Gomes and the local
Municipal Spiritist
Alliance, as shown in the
special report which is part
of this issue and is one of
its features.

Tomorrow, August 1st,
we commemorate another
anniversary of the 1865
launch of the first edition
of the book Heaven and
Hell or The Divine Justice
According to Spiritism,
by Allan Kardec.
The comparative analysis of
the doctrines on the passage
of bodily life to the
spiritual life, the future
rewards and penalties,
angels and demons are some
of the topics covered in the
book, which in its second
part presents numerous
examples about the real
situation of the soul after
death.
