The advances of Kardec's
ideas in respect to his time
This week’s editorial,
What happened to the
splendor of ancient Greece?,
analyzes why certain
civilizations that marked
their name in world history,
like Egypt and Greece,
disappeared or lost their
splendor.
Leontina Laurentino,
spiritist since adolescence,
was born and resides in Mogi
Mirim, São Paulo. A retired
teacher, working at Apostle
Paul Spiritist Center, she
is the coordinator of the
Department of Doctrine and
Mediumistic Meetings and is
also involved in services
such as passes and fraternal
assistance. In an interview
with our collaborator Orson
Peter Carrara, she tells us
about the spiritist movement
in her city.
The interview is one of the
highlights of the week.
Another highlight is the
special article entitled
Kardec and his vision of the
future, authored by our
colleague José Passini, from
Juiz de Fora, MG. According
to Passini, it is necessary
to think about Kardec in his
own time "in order to assess
his advances with respect to
the prevailing thought at
the time."
Read also in this issue
about the seminar organized
by the AME- Ribeirão Preto
on November 26. The article,
by Giovana Campos, is also
one of the highlights of
this edition.
