A chat with the president of
the Fraternity Spiritist
Society
This week’s editorial,
“Why do we believe that God
exists?” explains why we
spiritists believe firmly
and rationally that God
exists, one of the
fundamental principles of
the spiritist doctrine.
In an interview to the
journalist Katia Fabiana
Fernandes, from London,
Elisabeth da Silva
Stevenson, current president
of the Fraternity Spiritist
Society, talks about the
institution which she
chairs, which this month is
celebrating 20 years of
existence. Born in Londrina-PR,
Beth - as she is known - has
lived in the British capital
since 1990, where she has
embraced with love and
dedication the spiritist
doctrine and works in the
dissemination of Spiritism.
The interview is one of the
highlights of this edition.
Another highlight this week
is the special article
called The way of love,
written by Leda Maria
Flaborea, from São Paulo-SP.
In her article, Leda refers
to excuses that many use as
an escape door to abandon
their obligations.
Occasionally the magazine
IstoÉ opens space on its
pages to the subject of
mediumship, as Ana Moraes
shows in a special article
which is also one of the
highlights of this edition.

This edition begins the
study of the classic from
Ernesto Bozzano "Death and
its Mysteries", a work that
brings together three papers
on the topics
transfiguration,
parapirogenia and the crisis
of separation of the soul as
a result of bodily death.
