A chat with Ivan Franzolim,
from São Paulo-SP
This week’s editorial, “Father
François Brune and
reincarnation”, shows us
that the refutation of the
doctrine of reincarnation is
not shared by all Catholic
thinkers. The priest and
writer François Brune is,
for example, one of those
who admit it.
The colleague Ivan Franzolim,
from São Paulo-SP, is our
interviewee this week. In
the interview given to our
collaborator Orson Peter
Carrara, Franzolim talks
about his research in the
field of materialization
phenomena and warns that
Spiritist houses are not
equipped for this kind of
mediumship. The interview is
one of the highlights of
this edition.
Another highlight is the
special article titled
The huge numbers from the
life and work of Chico
Xavier, written by the
colleague Leonardo Marmo
Moreira. In the article,
Leonardo recalls that Chico
Xavier, besides being voted
"The Greatest Brazilian in
History" in a survey
conducted in 2006 by Epoca
magazine, was also chosen
"The Greatest Brazilian of
All Times" this year in the
competition organized by the
SBT.
Paulo Salerno describes the
Fraternal Meeting with
Divaldo Franco held on
October 11-14 at the Hotel
Iberostar Bahia in Praia do
Forte, Bahia. The article is
also one of the highlights
of this edition.

Last Friday, October 26th,
we commemorated another
anniversary of the death of
the colleague Luís Olímpio
Guillon Ribeiro, which
occurred in 1943. Guillon
Ribeiro was president of the
Brazilian Spiritist
Federation in 1920-1921 and
the period 1930-1943, and
translator of almost all the
works of Allan Kardec.
