Yes, marijuana is bad,
everyone knows that today
This week’s editorial, “Marijuana
is not harmless, as always
proclaimed”, comments on
the report signed by Adriana
Dias Lopes, published last
October 31st by
the magazine Veja, about the
harms caused by marijuana
use.
Conceição Cavalcante, from
Brasilia-DF, is our
interviewee this week. With
degrees in Pedagogy and
Literature, and postgraduate
studies in Marketing, the
colleague is the coordinator
of the Department of Arts
and Culture at the Spiritist
Group Atualpa Barbosa Lima
and co-creator of the Forum
of Spiritist Arts and
Culture of DF and the Arts
Department of the Spiritist
Federation of the Federal
District. The interview is
one of the highlights of
this edition.
Another highlight is the
special artlicle titled
“Loving yourself - Those who
don’t love themselves don’t
love their neighbor?”,
in which its author, Marcos
Roberto Martinez, from Santo
André, SP, says that this
known Buddhist thought is
mistakenly interpreted in
our midst. The article was
split into two parts, and
its conclusion will be
published next week.
Marcel Bataglia Goncalves
accounts the second meeting
of the Gonçalves Family, in
the city of Matão-SP, having
as its theme the phrase "Our
greatest strength is our
unity." This is the
family of our dear friend
Hugo Gonçalves, founder and
editor of the newspaper
The Immortal. The story
is also one of the
highlights of this edition.

In the preface of the
Letters section of last week,
we brought to our readers’
attention the technical
problems that, for three
weeks, prevented the contact
between the reader and the
direction of this magazine.
That was the reason for not
publishing the questions,
comments and critiques
posted by readers in the
period, which affected
especially editions 283, 284
and 285 of this magazine and,
most likely, some previous
editions.
The note published in the
last edition is being
published again this week in
the Letters section, so that
all can become aware of this
unfortunate occurrence, and
for which we present our
sincere apologies to our
readers, hoping that similar
events do not repeat.
