In question in this issue
the CFM support for the
liberation of abortion
This week’s editorial, "The
liberation of abortion back
on the scene again,"
comments on the Open Letter
sent by the physician and
professor Dr. Alexander
Moreira-Almeida, from Juiz
de Fora, MG, to his
colleagues in the Federal
Council of Medicine (CFM)
and CRM Minas Gerais.
One of the highlights of
this edition, in which we
celebrate six years of
activities of our magazine,
is the interview with our
collaborator Peter Orson
Carrara by the well-known
medium Marisa Barbosa Cajado,
living in the city of
Guarujá, São Paulo. In the
interview, the medium speaks
about the work she is doing
with great Brazilian
composers who return to the
Earthly plane through songs
transmitted to us thanks to
her psychic faculties.
Another highlight of this
issue is the special article
titled "Sadness,
emptiness and existential
coping strategies,"
authored by the colleague
Vinícius Lima Lousada, from
Bento Gonçalves, RS. One of
the issues examined in the
article by the colleague is
melancholy.
Founded on April 18th,
2007, at the time of the 150th
anniversary of the
appearance of The Spirits'
Book, the magazine O
Consolador reaches today
its 306th issue,
which corresponds to 6 years
of uninterrupted activity,
whose results are shown in a
report by Angelica Reis.

On a day like today, April 7th,
was introduced in the U.S.
Senate a bill authored by
Senator James L. Whitley,
whose goal was to give
mediums the right to freely
exercise their mediumistic
gifts in that country.
According to some, this fact
would have occurred in 1926,
but some say that the year
was rather 1929.
