EVOC offers the digital
version of “Spiritism for
Children”,
by Cairbar
Schutel
This week’s editorial, "Prayer
in Spiritist meetings",
analyzes Kardec’s
recommendation on the use of
prayer at the opening and
ending of Spiritist
meetings.
One of the highlights of
this edition is the
interview granted to us by
Roberto José Damasceno,
president of the Society of
Spiritist Studies Irmão Tomé,
in the city of Vitória,
Espírito Santo. In this
interview prepared by our
collaborator Orson Peter
Carrara, the colleague talks
about the Spiritist weeks
promoted by the institution
which he presides.
Another highlight of this
edition is the special
article "Chemical
dependency, problems of the
soul", authored by André
Luiz Alves Jr. According to
the colleague, drug
addiction is a fast acting
chronic disease and hard to
control, which may cause the
death of the individual and
, therefore, considered a
public health problem.
The 2nd South
American Spiritist Congress
was held on September 13-15
in Asuncion, Paraguay, with
the theme "The Gospel in
Building the Good Man",
as shown in a special report
which is also one of the
highlights this edition.
