"Human ills and their
origin" is the title of the
editorial this week,
reminding us that, according
to the law of cause and
effect, there is always a
reason, a reason for
everything that happens to
us, either for good or for
bad.
Our confrere, born in the
State of Minas Gerais, David
Sérgio de Gouvêa, is our
interviewee this week. He is
a Professor in the
Electrical Engineering
course at the Federal
University of Juiz de Fora,
Minas Gerais, and comments
on his studies about the
"Intelligent Principle." The
interview, given to our
colleague Guaraci Lima
Silveira, is one of the
highlights of this edition.
Another highlight is the
Special "What and where are
the Laws of God"? written by
Orson Peter Carrara,
explaining that the article
is the result of the inquiry
made by a confrere who asked
if God exists. Where is He?
What and where are His
laws?
The 6th Encontr'AME (Spiritist
Medical Association Meeting)
was held in Fortaleza (CE),
on the 23rd and 24th of
November, as per Giovana
Campos' article, one of the
highlights of this edition
too.

On a day like today -
December the 8th - under the
guidance of the Spirit
Itagiba, later a Spiritual
Mentor of the institution, a
group of friends gathered by
Clodoaldo Fernandes Viana
founded a Spiritist famili
unit. The year was 1904.
Less than four months later,
on March 24th, 1905, the
group founded the
Regeneration Spiritual
Center, which later on March
7th, 1915, was renamed The
Spiritist Federation of
Pernambuco, which has since
become the coordinator of
the Spiritist movement in
the State of Pernambuco.
