A chat with Martha Rios
Guimarães
This week’s editorial, "The
Spiritist child's education
and its importance" examines
the Spiritist child's
education and its relevance
to building a more just and
fraternal society.
One of the highlights of
this issue is the interview
that Orson Peter Carrara had
with Martha Rios Guimarães,
collaborator and
correspondent of our
magazine in São Paulo-SP,
where she lives. Author of
the book “Start at the Very
Beginning”, published by The
Bugle, Marthinha - as she is
better known - speaks in the
interview about her book and
the importance of the
proposal for the education
of Spiritist children and
youth.
Another highlight of this
edition is the special
article titled “Spiritist
meeting of youth or
gathering of youth who say
they are Spiritist?”
authored by our collaborator
Leonardo Marmo Moreira. In
the article, he points out
that in the past there was
significant resistance to
the work of the Spiritist
youths in several Brazilian
Spiritist centers. Has this
change?
Founded on January 1st,
1934, the Spiritist Center
Nosso Lar, in Londrina-PR,
one of the leading Spiritist
institutions in northern
Paraná, is celebrating 80
years of existence. A report
about the center, its
history and the work it
performs, it is also one of
the highlights of this
edition.
