Marcelo Gulão Pimentel tells
us about the
method
used by Kardec

"The rights of disabled people" is the title of the editorial this week, commenting on the objectives, the importance and the results of the Law 7.853/89. This law came into force twenty five years ago, on October 24, 2014.

Our interviewee this week is the confrere Marcelo Gulão Pimentel, born in Mage (state of Rio de Janeiro) and now living in Juiz de Fora (Minas Gerais). He is a Professor of History and author of the Master's Dissertation entitled: "Allan Kardec's method for investigation of psychic phenomena". He tells us about the subject of his dissertation. The interview is one of the highlights of this edition.

Another highlight is the special "Humberto de Campos - 80 years of disembodiment", authored by our collaborator Orson Peter Carrara. Humberto de Campos was born in Miritiba (MA), on October 25, 1886, and died in Rio de Janeiro on December 5, 1934, when he was only 48 years old.

On last November 2, at the headquarters of the Portuguese Spiritist Federation in the city of Amadora, the speaker Divaldo Franco closed an extensive doctrinal journey in the land of Camões, where the tireless colleague spoke in 11 different cities, as shown in the report illustrating this issue and which is also one of its highlights.

*

On a day like today - December 7, 1953 - in Lisbon, Portugal, the police raided the headquarters of the Portuguese Spiritist Federation, confiscating all assets and properties and delivering them to the Holy House of Mercy, which, in turn, handed them over to the Casa Pio in Lisbon, where 12,000 books of the institution's library were destroyed.
