In this
interview he

several issues,
including the
book he has

“Palavras de Consolo”:
What is the
Yvonne Pereira
Project?
|
It is a
collection of
talks about the
great medium,
Yvonne Pereira,
at the Spiritist
Centre
Estudantes da
Verdade since
March 31st
2009. There were
61 talks about
her until March
2015. I had the
idea of writing
something about
her since 2003,
when during the
15th
Volta Redonda
book fair I
bought some of
her books and
her biography.
Why did you
become so
connected to the
work of Yvonne?
Since I became a
Spiritist and I
heard her name
and thoughts
mentioned in
talks and
lectures I felt
deep admiration
for her. I would
eventually find
the answer for
that.
Tell us a bit
more about the
book “Palavras
de Consolo”.
Four mediums in
different
locations and
times came to me
and suggested
that I wrote
about her. They
suggested the
title “The
mediumship of
Yvonne Pereira”.
But she was
adamantly
opposed to it,
which led me to
change the title
to “Palavras de
Consolo,”
(“Words of
consolation”).
You have written
that the book
should “reach
the meek, those
in need of
affection and
those who are
suffering (…)”.
How did you
write to book in
order to achieve
that goal?
Since the
beginning, on
December 21st
2013, when I
decided to write
the book, Yvonne
Pereira was very
clear and honest
with me. She
told me what she
had to say, as
we have been
friends for so
long. She said
that she was
only the
messenger and
that I was
getting a
message from the
Spirit World. My
aim was to talk
openly, in a
very clear and
simple manner,
about suicide,
which is a great
tragedy. Because
I always admired
Yvonne, I
followed her
example and
based my work on
the basic works
of Allan Kardec.
I selected
quotes from
The Gospel
According to
Spiritism
and from there
developed the
chapters, using
comforting words
as their titles:
Hope,
Consolation,
Gratitude, Help,
Resignation,
Calmness,
Dedication and
Friendship.
Is there
anything in
particular we
would like to
share with us
about the
Project?
There were many
cases of people
coming forward
to talk about
suicide. Many
people
approached me at
the end of
talks. There
were sad,
desperate cases.
But I believe
hope will
prevail in those
souls. One
Spiritist Centre
later told me
that the trilogy
of Yvonne
Pereira was sold
out after one of
my talks. Her
work is
beautiful and
totally faithful
to the
Teachings. They
are works for
reading,
studying and
studying again,
particularly
“Memories of a
Suicide”.
What else would
you like to
add?
I also go
through pain and
suffering on
this planet of
trials and
tribulations.
Now I have a
golden
opportunity to
improve my
Spirit, damaged
by the mistakes
of previous
lives. Thanks
Spiritism I have
found the
explanations and
answers need for
this difficult
existence.
Spiritism is now
my safe haven!
Our merciful and
good Father
enables all the
children to find
help and
support. I thank
profoundly my
friend of
another life,
Yvonne do Amaral
Pereira, for her
friendship and
work. My small
contribution has
been to help
disseminate
these beautiful
Teachings. From
2009 to 2015 I
have done all
the talks I
proposed to. Not
a single one has
been cancelled.
I travelled
around, had to
wait at so many
coach stations
across Brazil.
But nothing was
difficult. I
always found the
doors open for
me!
