The reduced importance given
to the doctrinal study, fact
that has generated
difficulties and distortions
in the Spiritist circle
according to many confreres,
is the central theme of this
week’s editorial, entitled “Creed,
faith and transformation”.
The subject-matter is also
focused on the interview
conceded by the confrere
Graça Carneiro Leão Maciel,
from Recife (PE), to our
collaborator and editor
Orson Peter Carrara.
Spiritist since 1989, the
interviewee is emphatic when
she affirms that “the
doctrinal distortions come
from the lack of study”. The
interview is one of the
headlines in this edition.
Another headline this week
is the special report
“The temporary human evil”,
in which the confrere Abel
Sidney focus on the issue
evil and says that, in
accordance with Spiritism,
evil is created by the
individual himself and as
himself has a temporary
existence.
The article was unfolded
into two parts; the final
part will be published in
the next edition.
Late April in Curitiba city,
administrators of the
Southern Region Commission
of the National Federative
Council,
which involves the states of
Rio Grande do Sul, Santa
Catarina, Paraná, São Paulo
and Rio de Janeiro, have met
themselves. 105 persons have
attended to the meeting, as
presented in the report by
Claudia Rojas, another
headline in this edition.

In this edition, the
methodical study of the book
The Soul is Immortal
by Gabriel Delanne is
concluded, after being
published in 27 parts by
this magazine. Next week, we
will start the study of the
classical The Reason of
Life, work by Léon
Denis, based on the 14th
edition release by the FEB
press.
From this edition on, the
editorial staff of this
magazine gains two new
friends, Marcel Gonçalves
and Cristiane Parmiter, in
replacement of Rosana Voigt
Silveira and Patrícia
Baptista Onodera,
respectively, who had to
leave the team due to the
force of circumstances,
being no longer able to
continue the task they were
performing with proficiency
and goodwill. To the fellows
that leave us, our hugs and
sincere gratitude. To the
newcomers, our greetings and
wishes of success in the
mission embraced.
