Once upon a
time, a dog
called Pity was
feeling quite
sick. He would
walk around
feeling sad and
without any
energy. He
refused to eat
and lost a lot
of weight.
Pity was
Margaret’s dog
who was only 6
years of age.
The dog was
brown, and used
to be always
cheerful and
enjoyed going
out for walks.
Since he was now
feeling sick,
Pity refused to
go out with
Margareth. The
little girl was
quite concerned
because the dog
was getting
worse everyday.
One day,
Margaret’s mom
invited her to
go to a meeting
at the spiritist
centre. There was going to be
an important
|
 |
lecture
there. |
|
— Can we also
pray for Pity? —
The little girl
asked.
— Yes, of course
my dear.
They both left
home to go the
centre. On that
evening, there
was a talk about
Healing.
Margareth, even
being quite
young, listened
quite carefully
to what the
lecturer had to
say.
She then became
aware that
healing is a
transmission of
energies; the
donation of
love. If we pray
for someone who
is in need, we
can help this
person to
overcome
illnesses.
After the
lecture,
Margareth had
healing at the
centre. She
observed
everything that
happened around
her, paying a
lot of
attention. When
she got back
home with her
mom, they
decided to eat a
quick snack
before getting
ready to go to
bed, as they
always did.
Margaret’s mom
then called her
to say it was
time to go to
bed, but
couldn’t find
her.
She searcher for
her daughter
everywhere, but
couldn’t see
where she was.
She then
realised her
daughter was in
the garden, next
to Pity.
She came closer
to her daughter
and saw that
Margareth was
laying her hands
over her dog,
praying:
 |
— Dear Jesus!
Please help Pixy
so he can get
better. He needs
to eat and go
back to being a
happy dog. I
like him very
much. I feel sad
when he is sad.
I know he will
get better
because I trust
You. The speaker
today said if we
pray with faith,
we can get
everything we
wish for. I will
be very happy
and thankful to
You if you could
please help my
dog. Thank you,
Jesus!
Her mother was
touched by her
daughter’s
prayer,
|
but also
concerned.
If Pity
died, Margareth would
suffer a lot.
The little girl
then noticed her
mom was close by
and explained to
her: |
— I was just
giving healing
to Pity, as we
learned this
evening. He will
get better, mom—
she confidently
said.
 |
On the following
day, for
everyone’s joy,
Pixy was feeling
much better. He
started to eat
and was looking
much happier.
Three days
later, he was
100% cured. He
even went out
for a walk with
his owner.
Margaret’s mom
understood she
couldn’t miss
the opportunity
to give the best
moral education
for her children
as possible. She
started taking
the little girl
to moral
education
classes at the
spiritist
centre.
As Margareth
learned this
time, we can all
learn with her.
Jesus teaches
that faith the
size of a
mustard seed can
move mountains.
|
We can help, not
just ourselves,
but others who
are in need. We
just need good
will to help and
a lot of love to
give. |
