Do the good and not the evil: this is the Spiritist proposal
The Spiritist phenomena are undoubtely a powerful tool to convert non believers, especially when its causes and purposes are demonstrated.
That's why the Spiritism, according to Allan Kardec, "comes to support religion," to show and explain certain facts that are not miraculous, however not less remarkable. There were several facts such as appearances, the phenomena of moving objects, levitation, psychographics and many others that were considered throughout history as prodigies, nevertheless, they relate solely to the action of spirits on our world.
Life is complex, no one ignores it. There is nobody on Earth that only has happiness and smiles. Pain visits every home, and death comes when least expected, taking our beloved ones and leaving a trail of pain and sadness.
Neither science or philosophy, up to now, have given a reasonable explanation for the mistery of life. After all, all conjectures about the objective of the human existence are nothing but speculation. The classical philosophy recognizes us as spiritual beings, but tells us nothing about our origins and destiny.
The same thing happened to religion. The ghost of hell and the utopia of heaven have populated people’s minds. “ "We must suffer to rise above. Just believe to enter paradise. Faith is the key that will open the door "- this is what, in the name of religion, has been taught to men.
The Spiritism comes, through the voice of the desincarnated, to say that yes,we are spirits, as taught by philosophy, with the difference that we were created simple and ignorant, with equal opportunities for the good and evil, having as a goal the infinite progress.
There are no hell or heaven, both are states of soul.
It’s not faith that will leads us to salvation. It's the pure charity that will allow us to climb one more step on the path of evolution.
No one came to this world to suffer. Pain is a natural consequence of our evolutionary status. It is through the battles; vicissitudes; experiences of life that man grows and flies higher.
The purpose of existence is the human beings progress; who evolve when working for the general welfare.
We have free will.
We are free to practise the good and the evil. We can choose, however each choice will lead to unavoidable consequences, as demonstrated by various examples in the spiritist books, especially in "Heaven and Hell," a book published by Allan Kardec, the encoder of Spiritism, in 1865.
