Once upon a time
there was a
pastor who
looked after
sheep in a vast
field.
The animals were
peacefully
eating in the
field. The
pastor sat down
under a tree,
opened a bag and
ate his snack.
He was starving.
He soon took his
flute and began
to play. He then
felt quite tired
and fell
|
|
asleep.
The
sheep
ended up
spreading
through
the
fields
as there
was no
one to
look
after
them.

When the pastor
woke up, he felt
quite scared. It
was quite late.
The sun was
descending and
it was now
getting quite
dark.
He then felt
afraid of his
father’s
reaction for his
mistake. He was
also quite
concerned with
the safety of
the sheep, as
there were
wolves around
who could attack
them. The pastor
|
decided
to go
after
the
sheep
and try
to find
them.
|
It was so
difficult! The
animals spread
through a large
area! He didn’t
know what to do.
He tried to
search
everywhere, but
could not find
them.
He regretted his
fault and begged
for Jesus’ help:
— Oh, Lord,
please help
these little
creatures. Help
me find the lost
sheep! I don’t
know what else
to do and I fear
for them. Please
help me to find
them in safety!
He cried and
prayed several
times to Jesus.
He was now
feeling quite
tired and
decided to rest
a bit. He then
had an idea.
|
He knew his
animals loved to
hear him play
his instrument.
He then began to
play it. As the
music spread
around through
the mountain, he
realised the
sheep felt
attracted to it.
They came closer
to the pastor.
He managed to
find all sheep
as the animals
heard his call.
He then prayed
to Jesus one
more time,
thanking for
|
the help
received.
He
promised
never to
forget
to fulfil his
obligations. He
then returned
home, feeling
quite relieved
and happy for
the chance he
had to be around
his sheep once
again. |
