God... will thou be there?
Thanks to a gorgeous setting made by a colleague of Minas, has been circulating on the social networks a beautiful video with prayer entitled "God," unknown author, in which the author says he has sought God everywhere and, after having doubted of his existence and mercy of relentless search, reveals how he found Him. As a music background, the author of the video inserted the beautiful song Best That You Can Do, Christopher Cross, one of the hits of the 1980s, the reader, if you want, you can hear by clicking this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FqTkxFJHrNw
It says the text of the prayer:
God...
I spent so much time looking for Thee.
I did not know where you were, staring at infinity and did not see thee.
And I thought to myself: do Thee exist?
I did not content myself with the search and continued,
I tried to find Thee in religions and temples;
You also were not there.
I sought thee through the priests and pastors;
I also did not find Thee.
I felt alone, empty, desperate and described.
And in disbelief offended Thee,
And on offense I stumbled,
And I fell in tripping,
And in the fall I felt weak.
Weak, sought help.
I found friends in distress,
In the friends I found caress,
In the caress I saw the birth of love,
With love I saw a new world
And in the new world I decided to live...
What I received, I decided to donate.
Donating something, received many
And getting it I felt happy.
And being happy, I found peace.
And having peace it was when I saw
That inside me is where Thee were
And without looking for Thee it was that I found Thee.
The reaction of people who see the citied video has been, in general, strong emotion, a rare joy, unusual contentment, not only for the beauty of the melody, but mainly by the message contained in the prayer that we have just read.
When we saw, we remember instantly with emotion, a similar moment, narrated in one of the articles of Manoel Philomeno de Miranda, psychographed by Divaldo Franco. We refer to the book Behind the Scenes of Obsession, where, in chapter 16, sealing the meeting with Teofrastus, his beloved who had been set apart by the tragic events of the Inquisition period, the young Ana Maria (the same Henriette in the Rouen episodes) said: "I learned when studying the Gospel, as a child, in Rouen, this concept that I have never forgotten: 'When I sought God out of me, I did not find Him, when I looked inside me, had lost Him; and resolved to love and help my neighbor and I came upon me, with God and with my brother.' Seeking Jean and helping him, we have found the three of ourselves in happiness..."
That the two experiments contained in the transcribed prayer and Ana Maria’s testimony can also help us to find God, the loving Father who, in fact, only want the good to his creatures, though we do not always realize it.
